Cacao is a personal finance app for macOS. This policy explains how your data is handled.
Cacao does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter — accounts, transactions, and settings — is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database. Nothing is sent to any server.
Cacao does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Cacao does not currently use iCloud or any other cloud storage. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the built-in export feature.
If you choose to export your data (JSON, CSV, or Ledger format), the resulting file is saved to a location you choose on your Mac. Cacao has no involvement in what you do with that file afterward.
Cacao does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
